Five Korean directors muse about sensuality and sexuality in the low-key anthology Five Senses of Eros. The collection consists of five very different shorts written and directed by Hur Jin Ho (Happiness), Daniel Byun (The Scarlet Letter), Min Kyu Dong (Antique), Yu Young Sik (Anarchist), and Oh Ki Hwan (The Art of Seduction). Covering comedy, melodrama, fantasy, and teen drama, the omnibus boasts a who's who's lineup of top and rising stars, including Jang Hyuk (Volcano High), Cha Hyun Jung (Lovers of Six Years), Kim Kang Woo (Le Grand Chef), Cha Soo Yeon (Beautiful), Kim Min Sun (Portrait of a Beauty), Bae Jong Ok (Herb), Kim Su Ro (Our School E.T), Hwang Jung Ming (Private Eye), Uhm Jung Hwa (Insadong Scandal), Kim Hyo Jin (Mr. Wacky), Kim Dong Wook (Antique), Song Joong Ki (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), Shin Se Kyung (Cinderella), and Jung Eui Chul (Do-Re-Mi-Pa-Sol-Ra-Si-Do).
Daniel Byun's snazzy urban romance "His Concern" reveals the psyche and lifestyle of a single man (Jang Hyuk) as he carefully prepares the perfect first date with a beautiful woman (Cha Hyun Jung) he met serendipitiously on a train during a business trip. Hur Jin Ho makes good on his genre with "I'm Right Here", a gentle, poetic story about a husband (Kim Kang Woo) and his terminally ill wife's (Cha Soo Yeon) game of hide-and-seek, with some fantasy elements thrown in. Yu Young Sik's sex comedy "I'm 33rd Man" takes things over the top with the hilarious power struggle between a femme fatale (Bae Jong Ok) and a girl next door (Kim Min Sun) who are fighting over a clueless guy (Kim Su Ro). Oh Ki Hwan's "Have Faith in the Moment" presses buttons with three high school couples who decide to swap partners for one day. In Min Kyu Dong's In My End is My Beginning, a woman (Uhm Jung Hwa) is left alone and heartbroken after her cheating husband (Hwang Jung Min) dies in a car accident. Her friend (Kim Hyo Jin), who was having an affair with her husband, appears asking for her forgiveness, and the two begin to live together. Min's Eros short was later expanded into an independent theatrical film, which provides a fuller version of the story including an ending.
