Description
Written and directed by Hakota Yuko, Blue Hour follows two women on a trip to a rural hometown. Kaho (The Many Faces of Ito) and Korean actress Shim Eun Kyung, who won Best Actress at the Japan Academy Prize for The Journalist, star in the perceptive drama.
30-year-old commercial director Sunada Yuka (Kaho) has a seemingly good life in Tokyo with her husband, but she feels lost and unfulfilled. When her grandmother falls ill, she returns to the hometown she hates with her free-spirited friend Asami (Shim Eun Kyung). The trip home forces Yuka to confront her family and past.
